The Spugnort's World gaming network was designed and developed with security, scalability
and reliability in mind from the very beginning. The network is currently comprised
of several multi-processor, enterprise class servers with nearly every function
they perform offered from multiple, load-balanced and fail-over capable systems.
Our services are developed using a mix of various networking technologies all selected
for their particular strengths and benefits to the tasks they perform. All of the
systems that make up the publically accessible, production environment are located
in a carrier-grade datacenter in Lansing, Michigan, USA. The datacenter facility is
equipped with mutiple, redundant Internet connections, UPS (battery) and generator
power backup and is housed in a secure, access-controlled building with 24 hour
on-site staff.
The gaming network websites and software are developed in-house by the company owner
and lead developer, Joshua Jackson. Prior to working on the Spugnort Gaming Network,
he worked as a consultant for several large companies to assist in the design and
development of security software, network infrastructure, and Internet access security
and policy implementations. He also maintains a pair of small, security related
Linux distributions designed to provide Internet firewalls for personal and small to mid-sized
company networks. More information on the consulting and security company can be
found on the company website at:

The following diagram represents the current state and layout of the Gaming Network
server as of November, 2007. This diagram will be updated as the network continues
to grow over time. |
